Student Supports

RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Achieving success in university takes a lot of hard work but, like riding a teeter-totter, it’s so much easier when you’re not alone. We have many units on campus that provide personalized guidance and support to any students who need it.

SOME OF THE WAYS WE SUPPORT YOUR STUDENT

Our broad range of free programs and services will help your student adjust to campus life and teach them the skills required to achieve success as a student, and wherever life takes them next.

SOME OF THESE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES INCLUDE:

ABORIGINAL STUDENT CENTRE

Located on the main floor of our bright and beautiful Research and Innovation Centre, our Aboriginal Student Centre cultivates a respectful and welcoming atmosphere for all. The ASC encourages student empowerment, identity, community connection, providing cultural support, and Indigenous ways of learning. The ASC acts as a central hub for all students, faculty, staff, and community to gather and find a sense of belonging in the larger university environment. Thanks to its impressive number of oversized windows, it’s also one of the best places in the university to grab a seat and people watch.

THE ASC FOCUSES ON ASSISTING STUDENTS T0:

  • Successfully transition into university
  • Successfully complete their degree
  • Transition into the workforce
  • Participate in university events
