Additional Information

All Programs

One year of CEGEP with a minimum of 12 academic courses.  DEC holders will be considered for transfer credit.

(high school equivalents courses not accepted).

The Grade 12 Certificate of Graduation with six academic subjects may also be considered for admission

Arts, Fine Arts,  Kinesiology - Bachelor of Health Studies only

  • Two 603 English or 601 French courses
  • One approved math or science (List A)
  • One approved language, social science or fine arts course (List B)
  • Eight additional approved course (List A or B)

Fine Arts Supplementary Information:

  • BFA/CFA in Visual Arts and CFA in Indian Arts: Portfolio required. The deadline to submit the portfolio Fall: April 1 Winter: December 1
  • Bachelor of Music: Interview, music theory placement test and audition required
  • Bachelor of Music Education: Music theory test, audition and BMusEd Teacher Education Admission Profile required

Business Administration

  • Two 603 English or 601 French courses
  • Two approved 201 Math courses
  • One approved language, social science or fine arts course (List B)
  • Seven additional approved course (List A or B)
 

85% or higher: Direct-entry through the Excellence Program

65% and 84.99%: Admitted as qualifying students.

Education

  • Two 603 English or 601 French courses
  • One approved math or science (List E)
  • One approved language, social science or fine arts course (List E)
  • Eight additional approved courses** (List E)

Teacher Education Admission Profile required.


Elementary Education or Secondary Business Education: one 201 Math course required

Secondary Education programs with a major or minor in Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics:  two 201 Math courses required

Engineering

  • Two 603 English or 601 French courses
  • Two approved 201 Math courses*
  • Two courses numbered in the 202 series (Chemistry)
  • Two courses numbered in the 203 series (Physics)
  • Four additional approved courses

A minimum admission average of 70%-79.99% is required for admission to the general major.  80% or higher are admitted directly to their major of choice.

*Calculus is recommended in addition to these classes.

Journalism

Two years Pre-Journalism in Faculty of Arts  

Kinesiology & Health Studies
