Nigeria Admission Requirements


Applying as a secondary school student:

  • West African Examinations Council - must be mailed DIRECTLY from WAEC to the University of Regina. To make arrangements, you may contact them at:

Alternatively, you can provide us with the following information so we can check your results online (full details available atwww.waecdirect.org)

Purchase a scratch card and provide the University of Regina with the following information:

  • Examination Number
  • Examination Year
  • Type of Examination
  • Card Serial Number
  • PIN Number

Transferring from another post-secondary institution:

Original transcripts of grades for all post-secondary institutions attended must be sent DIRECTLY to the Admissions Office. 

 

Proof of English Language Proficiency:

Students who have a English mark of C6 or higher on their WAEC results will not be required to provide ELP. Students whose marks are lower must provide one of the English Language Proficiency requirements.

 

Faculty Specific Requirements:

Science: Mathematics and one of Chemistry, Biology or Physics within the natural science stream at the upper secondary level

Engineering: Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics within the natural science stream at the upper secondary level

Kinesiology and Health Studies: Mathematics and one of Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the upper secondary level

If required documents are not in English or French a notarized English translation must accompany documents or be presented to the Admissions Office.

Please Note: If it is not possible to send an original of these documents a school certified copy will be accepted. Original documents must be presented upon arrival to the Admissions Office for viewing.
