How to Apply for Early Conditional Admission

Step 1: Submit the following by the appropriate deadline:

Education: Final grades from the first semester of grade 12 must be included on the high school transcript.

 

For the Faculties of Business, Engineering, Kinesiology, Nursing, and Science, admission will be based on:

  1. One course in English or French Language Arts (grade 11 or 12)
  2. One academic Math at the grade 11 or 12 level
  3. One course from list A below at the grade 11 or 12 level
  4. One course from list B below at the grade 11 or 12 level
  5. One other course from list A or list B below at the grade 11 or 12 level

For the Faculties of Arts, Education, Media Art and Performance, and Social Work, admission will be based on:

  1. One course in English or French Language Arts (grade 11 or 12)
  2. One course from list A below at the grade 11 or 12 level
  3. One course from list B below at the grade 11 or 12 level
  4. Two other courses from list A or B below at the grade 11 or 12 level

Note (the following applies to both calculations listed above):

  • A maximum of two math courses may be used
  • A maximum of one List B course marked with an asterisk* may be used 
  • Nursing does not allow use of any List B courses marked with an asterisk*
  • Requirements 3, 4, and 5 must be met by different courses
  • Minimum admission averages must be met as per Faculty-specific admission policy
  • Business requires an admission average of 85% for the Excellence Program (direct-entry) and 65% for the Qualifying Program
  • Nursing is competitive and requires a mininum grade of 70% in each course
  • Education is competitive

Step 2: Submit Final Transcripts by August 1

  • Final admission average will be calculated using Faculty Specific Admission Subjects
  • Final official high school transcripts must be sent directly from the Ministry of Education or your high school (out of province students only)
